As a female entrepreneur, you’ve probably learned a lot in 2018 that you plan on growing from in the New Year. It’s always good to be aware of these lessons and turn them into your resolutions. Maybe it includes a set of purposes that will inspire other women going into the business or personal goals to reach a higher level of self-peace in 2019. Whichever the case, they are bound to hold you accountable and to serve as a blueprint as you work towards finding your success and helping others find theirs.

This year, we encourage you to challenge the status quo. Go outside of your comfort zone. Be the change you’ve been waiting to see. For this will lead to unexpected opportunities with significant impact on yourself and for your business.

  1. Be Authentic. If you’ve ever experienced a situation where you felt like a ‘try-hard’ or that you had to walk on eggshells, then you know this is a prominent resolution. Next year, be true to yourself. Don’t pretend to be something you’re not in order to fit in with a certain crowd and don’t hide your talents in fear of intimidating others. Embrace all that encompasses being a female entrepreneur. If you feel like adding a feminine touch to a work-document or decorating a project up a bit, do it. This is what makes you unique and, ultimately, stand out in a saturated business.

  1. Support Other Women. You have the option of choosing who you work and collaborate within every business decision that you make. Among those options are the choice of female-owned businesses. Now, if you ever felt like doing that would harm your business due to competitive reasons, you may want to think twice. Not only are you both helping your services cross audiences, but you learn and grow from each other. These collaborations can create great relationships for years to come. As fellow female entrepreneurs, we must help each other out.

  1. Value Your Potential. Leave all the negative thoughts in 2018 because this is your year to outshine the shadows you’ve been lurking in. Understand that you made it through another year. Throughout all the internal and external doubts you pushed through and triumphed some of your biggest fears. There’s a lot to appreciate in that. Starting a business as a female entrepreneur isn’t easy, but you’re doing it. Practice more self-love and -appreciation in the new year. You’re a certified lady boss and no one can take that from you.

  1. Improve Self-Care. This is one that many understand all too well. If you have five meetings scheduled, three campaigns to run, two proposals to create, and an event you just remembered the day of all in one week, you’re probably not thinking about the next time you’ll get to focus on yourself. It’s important to set time away each day to take care of yourself, even if it’s just a minute to stop, reflect, and breathe. Make time for you so you can be on your A-game. You can’t run a successful business if you’re not feeling 100%.

  1. Learn Something New. We often make the mistake of getting comfortable or getting too used to the flow of things as they are. This is what holds us back or stops you from growing personally and within your business. Push yourself to constantly learn new things. Whether you’re finally going to learn that new language or taking a cake decorating class, find something that pushes you to grow and expand, and take it on.

  1. Set Goals Long-Term and Short-Term, Then Stick To Them. The first half of this is what we all do but how often do you set goals and be consistent with achieving them? Make strides towards your goals every day. Set realistic goals, but ones that make you push yourself. And don’t forget to celebrate your victories because you deserve to be proud of yourself.

  1. Remember Why You Became An Entrepreneur. If there are any resolutions you take away from this, it’s this one. Anytime you feel overwhelmed or as if it might not be worth it, remember why you did it. Reignite that passion, the enthusiasm you had from the start and keep going. Being an entrepreneur is a tough, but rewarding career path. It can be time-consuming and overwhelming, but at the end of the day it’s living your dream. Never forget that!

A new year means a fresh start to make you and your business great. Remember our seven resolutions and create some of your own. You are on the path for success, just stay focused and humble. Happy New Year from all of us at eWomenNetwork! We hope 2019 is a year filled with success and prosperity for you and your business. See you at our 2019 Annual Conference, let’s get 1 Million Women to 1 Million Dollars this year.
