Valentines Day is the holiday of love. And while many people celebrate the romance of Valentine's Day, I thought it was high time that entrepreneurs like us celebrate our love for our business. After all, as a business owner we probably spend more time working on our business than any relationship! So, I decided to write a love letter to my company, eWomenNetwork, that I started 17 years and share it with you in a video.
Your Business is a Reflection of You
As we said in a recent blog, A Strong Heart Leads to a Healthy Business, in order to achieve and sustain good health, you need to love yourself first. If you don't think you're worth the effort to lead a healthy lifestyle, then why should anyone else value you? Taking that a step further, how could you have a successful business if you don't love yourself first? Your business is a reflection of you. If you are suffering, so too will your business. Your business needs you to have stamina, strength and clarity to thrive. These demands are hard to achieve when you coming from a place of depletion. In you don't love yourself first, both you and your business will suffer.
Write Your Love Letter to Your Business
I encourage you to do what I did. Take a moment during this Valentine's Day and write your business a love letter. She, too, is your partner in life and one who will bring you much joy if you give her some TLC. Because at the end of the day, that love letter is really for you.
