Last week we celebrated our 19th Annual Entrepreneur Conference + Expo and it was ICONIC. So iconic, in fact, that we revealed the new name for our 20th year: eWN ICON. We chose that name because the Conference is iconic every year and our 20th anniversary will be bigger and better than ever.  Plus with our growing global audience making this International Conference even larger, the abbreviation couldn't have been more fitting.  If you missed out at this year’s event, we’re here to fill you in on all the greatest moments.

Pre-Con Highlights

  • We kicked it off with a pre-conference event like no other. The Director of Digital Marketing, Briana Dai opened the stage and set the tone for the day to come. You can read more about the entire day on last week’s blog here.

  • Day one started with delicious quiches and a big donut wall that surrounded the grand reveal of our exhibitor activations. From massage chairs to monkey photo ops, and a refreshing Ketel One Botanical bar, our exhibitors brought their A-game this year.

  • Our CEO, Sandra Yancey, kicked off the mainstage with a packed room. She introduced everyone to our office C.C.O, Chief Canine Officer, Dash. The crowd loved him as much as we do. She then proceeded to do some laser coaching that helped provide a different perspective on business decisions and set the uplifting precedent for the rest of the weekend.

  • We wrapped up day one with Ketel One Botanical cocktails, light snacks, and a crowded AfterGLOW room. The alcohol was a hit as it provided insight into how well the brand evolves with modern-day trends.

  • We launched Day two with Sandra’s Simple Success Secrets but had to take a minute to give away some amazing goodies while dancing to our favorite tune, “Get Stupid”.

  • Following our morning -  Erik Day of Dell came in to talk to us about Technology’s Place in Diversity and Inclusion. He showed us the importance of both in company culture while telling us about his experiences and the amazing things Dell is doing for small businesses and female entrepreneurs.

  • We couldn’t let the excitement of the day end there. Following our time with Erik, Sandra came back out to introduce us to an exclusive business learning experience, “Retreats on Retreats”. This will be an event like no other where attendees will learn directly from Sandra how to host their own event or retreat while at an actual retreat. The best part? It’s 12 days in Bali and if you choose to extend, you can experience Dubai too.

  • After a brief break, we re-opened the ballroom for our annual Femtor Awards. Emotions were high as we announced Diana Sabatino of Orange County as our Managing Director of the Year and Brigid’s Path as our Humanitarian of the Year.

  • We quickly pulled ourselves together for two amazing breakout sessions. Attendees got the opportunity to either sit in on Social Media Shifts and Trends, a panel led by our very own Briana Dai with special guests Shirley Yang of Muses and local influencer Dani Austin, or Get Your Business Online with Ricky Ratcliff of Google. Both groups were filled with amazing information that kept us wanting more. Can you say mainstage next year?

  • Speaking of the mainstage, our Chief Marketing Officer, Kym Yancey took over the main ballroom to talk to us about The Inspired Brand and how to market your brand better. This was followed by an inspirational wrap-up of the day from Sandra.

  • Day two ended with another packed AfterGLOW with Mikey the Monkey from Absolute Web Marketing and Baileys milkshakes stealing the show. On top of the excitement of AfterGLOW we had two late-night breakout sessions from Dell,  discussing Tech Smarter, Not Harder, and Click Funnels talking about the Unfair Advantage to Building an Online Presence.

  • Day three had a wild start as we announced our #Shoefie winner and had her reenact it on stage with Sandra and a bottle of Dom Perignon that she got to take home as her prize. Followed by Sandra Getting Clear on What’s Possible.

  • Before discussing the Building Blocks of a Million Dollar Business, Sandra brought out Magie Cook for a conversation that left us all feeling inspired and ready to take on anything that business and life throws at us. When life gives you tomatoes, make salsa because that’s exactly what Magie did.

  • After a lunch break, Anastasia Kudrez of Google joined us to talk about Connecting with Customers Through Video, teaching us about the difference in ad lengths and the importance of Google and streaming platforms in today’s digital age.

  • Transitioning from the video in the digital age, Briana Dai took the stage to discuss Getting Started as a Micro-Influencer and offered a one-time-only social media package that was an undeniable deal.

  • Sandra and Kym wrapped the segment portion of the conference with an ‘Ask Us Anything’ Q&A session where people could ask real personal business questions and get real on the spot answers and advice.

  • Our last AfterGLOW was the last chance to get some amazing jewelry, essential oils, Dell products, Peach clothes, and Don Julio margaritas before heading to our annual Extreme Dance Party filled with tasty desserts, amazing music, and a slow-motion photo booth that had us all laughing.

Overall, it was another successful conference thanks to all of our amazing members and attendees. Sad you missed out on all the action this year? Don’t let that be you next year. Our 20th anniversary will be an elevated experience.
